Big Combo Classic Heads To CD

Aztec Music will release the Broderick Smith`s Big Combo album for the
very first time on CD this month.
Broderick Smith’s 1981 Big Combo was the one and only album for the band
featuring Smith (The Dingoes, Carson), Chris Wilson (Buster Brown), Graham
Thompson (Stars / Russell Morris Band), John Annas (Kevin Borich Express),
Mal Eastick (Stars) and Mick O’Connor (Mark Gillespie).
The album was originally released on the Glenn Wheatley owned W.B.E.
label. It was recorded in Melbourne at AAV under the guidance of Ernie
Rose producing.
The album generated two Top 40 hits in Australia (Faded Roses and My
Father’s Hands) and the album classic ‘Ruby In The Snow’.
Gil Matthews at Aztec records has remastered the album which will be
repackaged with a 6 pannel digi-pak and 24 page booklet.
The non-LP b-side ‘Mr B Is Leaving’ has been added to the tracklisting.
